Teneriffe Peak Loop

This conditioner is open first to GCC Students that have not yet completed this month's GCC conditioner. Other GCC Students, Instructors, or general OSAT members are welcome to register within 48 hours prior to the hike if spots are available.

This loop has it all, steep climbs, rewarding views, and cascading waterfalls. Along the first stretch following Mount Teneriffe, Teneriffe Falls and Kamikaze Trail you will pass the falls and a few viewpoints. During the second half of the hike you will be heading down hill. It is mostly wooded but still offers occasional views.

We will start at Mount Teneriffe trailhead and go up the trail to the falls. From there we will ascend the steep Kamikaze Trail. This is a tough challenging trail that will test your abilities. We'll probably stay slow and steady up it though. Hopefully we will be rewarded with a view of the I-90 corridor from the summit of weather allows. From there we will head downhill on the New Mount Teneriffe trail to avoid going back down the steep trail. It will be a good opportunity to get in some extra miles.
