OSAT ACTIVITIES
2024 OSAT ANNUAL CAMPOUT
September 13th - September 15th, 2024
Make sure y'all carpool - we max at 35 cars!
The annual OSAT car camp includes clean & sober hikes, rock climbing, mountain biking, fishing, campfires (or we may provide a propane firepit, if there is a burn ban), a Saturday night potluck with AA Meeting following, and a Sunday morning breakfast potluck.
And, of course, our matchless OSAT fellowship!
This premier OSAT family event is also a great way for newcomers to experience a taste of OSAT.
Bridge Creek Group Campground is 9.5 miles SW of Leavenworth, WA in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest of North Central Washington.
Know Before You Go
Our forests need our care, and it's up to all of us to practice good stewardship. Please review this link before going to Car Camp: dontmovefirewood.org. Firewood is available at Eight Mile Campground at the campground host site.
As with all things OSAT: no alcohol, cannabis, or illicit drugs - anytime, anywhere, anyhow!

Campground Directions
If you are arriving from west on Highway 2: Drive to Leavenworth, and immediately upon entering town, take a right (south) on Icicle Road.
From the east, take Highway 2 west through Leavenworth, and as you approch the far end of town, take a left (south) on Icicle Road.
On Icicle Road, go approximately 9.5 miles to the Eight Mile Forest Service Road 7600, on the left. Travel 1/4 mile to Bridge Creek Campground Road, FS 7601-111, and turn left into the campground.
Once you are in the campground, drive past the 6 "outside the gate" camp sites, past the bulletin board and outhouse, up to the metal swing gate at the end of the drive; there should be a big OSAT banner here. The gate's chain will be wrapped around a post, but it should be unlocked. Open the gate, drive through, and then please close and re-chain the gate the way you found it after you go through.
There is no cell service here, so if you have any problems or questions, you may have to drive halfway back to town to get a connection.

Car Camp Climbing
As we have in the past, Saturday morning there will be a group going out to a nearby climbing crag for some outdoor “sport” climbing (rated 5.3 to 5.10c, if that means anything to ya).
Everyone is invited, regardless of experience level! In the past we have gotten new climbers up several of the easy routes there. And there’s harder stuff for the more experienced. :-)
Bring harness, rock climbing shoes, helmet. Maybe a day pack for your lunch and water. A belay device if you want to be useful. :-) Some spare gear like shoes, helmets, and harnesses may be available to borrow. (The shoes may not fit you….) Age 13 minimum for belaying.
