GCC Time Trial: Old Si Trail

This is a time trial for GCC students only. 

IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY HIKED THE OLD SI TRAIL BEFORE ATTEMPTING A TIME TRIAL. 

To successfully complete the time trial, you must ascend to the usual turnaround point in 2.5 hrs or less, carrying a 30 lb. pack. You need to descend back to the cars in 2 hrs or less. Packs will get weighed at the trailhead. You may use water bottles or rocks to achieve the necessary weight and you may dump them at the top.     

This is an 7 mile hike on a steep trail. Elevation gain of 3,300 feet. Please meet at the North Bend Safeway parking lot. Please be on time. We will carpool to the trailhead from the Safeway, meet at 8:30 AM. Drivers will need a Discovery Pass. You must bring your ten essentials, hiking poles, and traction devices.

Registration: Please check the "Include name in list of event registrants" check box. 

Directions:
1. Take I-90 East
2. Take EXIT 31
3. At traffic circle, go LEFT onto North Bend Blvd/Bendigo Blvd S
4. Turn right at SW Mt Si Blvd (First stop light)

Destination will be on the left  0.2 mi
