Come join us on a late season scramble up to Kendall Peak. We'll take the Commonwealth Basin Trail to the PCT before leaving the PCT for the Kendall Peak summit. This is a Class 2 Scramble to the summit with loose scree, rocks, mud, potential for snow and ice, and a generous amount of exposure. Some scrambling experience is recommended.
The Commonwealth Basin and PCT sections of the trail are easy to moderate, but once we get to the unmaintained summit trail, conditions deteriorate and the climb gets much steeper and more difficult. The climbers trail is class 2 and gains another 600ft of evelation.
Helmets and microspikes are required. Poles are recommended.
