Mt Pugh

Monday September 28th

We are so back! Let's start our climbing season with a long fun hike up Mt Pugh!

Mount Pugh offers a well-maintained trail. The trail begins by meandering through a deep forest, where several stream crossings will occur. The grade gradually steepens as you ascend, and you'll navigate a series of switchbacks up the mountainside. The hike includes a scramble section with some exposed areas. As you climb higher, you'll emerge at a boulder field, where the views start to open up. From this vantage point, you can enjoy spectacular vistas of Stujack Pass, Sloan Peak, Three Fingers, and the Sauk River Valley below.

This is a long, steep strenuous hike including exposed  class 2/class 3 rock scrambles.  Please bring your helmet, microspikes and weather appropriate clothing.  Enough water and food for for a long day in the mountains and of course your ten essentials.
