The OSAT-AA Tiger Mountain meeting celebrates its 29th anniversary at this Thursday evening meeting! Come join the party!! This year we will have a virtual anniversary meeting. Refer to the OSAT-AA page for instructions. Please stay safe and abide by current social distancing guidance.
The Thursday evening Tiger Mountain AA meeting began as a conditioner for folks interested in participating in the "1991 AA Mt. Rainier Expedition". Jim's newsletter to potential members of that "expedition" said "Since there is so much interest in the Thursday night conditioning hike, it has been suggested that we turn this into a regular meeting."
Thus, on April 11, 1991 (the first Thursday of Daylight Saving Time that year), the first OSAT-AA meeting took place. The Sunday morning Tiger meeting started in October 1991, when DST ended but the group wanted to continue to meet on the mountain through the winter.
