OSAT CLIMBING COURSES

OSAT offers two climbing courses to introduce members to mountaineering.

• Glacier Climbing Course (GCC) offered during the first half of the year provides an introduction to glacier mountaineering for new members.
• Intermediate Climbing Course (ICC) is a two-year course for members who have graduated from the GCC and who wish to further their mountaineering skills.

OSAT encourages members to increase their wilderness skills including becoming proficient in handling emergencies in wilderness settings.  From time-to-time, the club organizes Wilderness First Aid (WFA) courses.  WFA certification or enrollement in a WFA course is a pre-requisite for participation in the ICC.
